Christmas Wedding Ideas
Tis The Season with These Tips

Share |

Christmas wedding ideas are what you need. You decided to have a Christmas wedding, and now you need to plan your event. What you wear, the flowers, the theme, the colors; everything will come together to create your dream wedding.

But let's make something clear before we begin. Having a Christmas wedding doesn't mean that you have to have a Christmas themed wedding. Christmas wedding themes are more than perfect if you get married on Christmas day.

That is, if you want it to be your theme. With that being said, let's get to some ideas for your event.

The colors

Yes, red and green make for great Christmas colors, but you can also choose some other more original combinations. For example:

* gold
* silver
* purple
* blue
* burgundy
* brown
* pink
* any combination of the colors named above

Are you choosing an unconventional color but do not want to make it your main color?

Just use it to accentuate your venue in small details such as your chair cover sashes, table confetti or napkins.

Original ideas

You can decorate your venue with sparkles and feathers for an original twist. How to do it? Decorate with a feathered centerpiece, or fake birds.

White peacocks and shimmery decorations will do the trick. You can even have a traditional flower arrangement and introduce a fake bird on a stick to give it that special touch.

You can use a feather on top of your napkins; just tie it with a silk ribbon and it will serve as an original napkin ring. But maybe feathers are not your thing, so fruits might be able to do the trick for you.

So try these as some of your Christmas wedding ideas

A pear or apple-based centerpiece is an original way to accentuate your table. If you decide to go this way, using the technique mentioned above, make an original napkin ring by using a cinnamon stick instead of the feather.

What about the drinks?

There are many ways to personalize your wedding through the drinks you serve.

A winter or Christmas wedding lets you serve drinks that are a little more unconventional.

For example, you can serve eggnog, spiced wine or your favorite punch. Want something even more original?

Serve hot rummed cider. Want to go the extra mile? Use the punch bowl as your centerpiece. If you do so, just decorate your table simply with individual votives and/or table confetti.
